Mini Medics

This is a very basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation for children and aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but can suit children of any age.

 

The course will show complete respect for the child's ability, make it educational and practical and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured.

 

The course is aimed at:

  • Primary schools
  • Sports clubs
  • Organisations such as cubs and brownies

 A range of subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid?
  • Defibrillation
  • First Aid kits
  • Recovery position
  • Chocking
  • Resucitation (CPR)
  • DR ABC
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Asthma
  • Shock
  • Safety
  • Communication and contacting the emergency services

Each child will receive the following:

  • 32 page fully illustrated A4 colour book, including a cut-out 'Mini Medics' certificate
  • A unique syringe-style ped in red or blue
  • 4 page worksheet with fun and educational activity

A maximum of 16 children can be accommodated on this course and ideally, all children should be a minimum of 8 years of age.
